MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Moscow and Tehran have not made any particular arrangements concerning oil swaps to Iran, as the deal remains at the level of preliminary discussions, Russian Deputy Minister of Energy Kirill Molodtsov said Sunday.
“Only discussions so far, nothing specific,” Molodtsov said, when asked at what stage are the negotiations on the possible swap arrangements.
Oil swap is a deal under which a price based on a commodity is traded for a fixed price, with the agreement lasting for a fixed time. Iran is currently interested in oil swaps with Russia, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
