MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Friday, a Boko Haram group member carried out a terrorist attack in the city of Madagali in north-eastern Nigeria. The attack reportedly claimed the lives of more than 30 people, with many people wounded.
"The Russian president strongly condemned this barbaric crime, which has no justification, and stressed that Russia supports Nigeria in its efforts to combat terrorism. The president confirmed his willingness to increase cooperation in this field both on bilateral and international levels," the statement said.
Putin also expressed his condolences to the families of victims of the Madagali attack and wished a fast recovery for those injured.
