MOSCOW (Sputnik) — French police detained 10 individuals, which are suspected to be involved in the July terrorist attack in Nice, media reported Monday.
According to the broadcasting station Europe 1, the arrested are suspected of providing technical and material support to the masterminds of the attack.
"What is meant is the chain responsible for providing material and technical support, people who could have assisted in conducting the attack," the broadcaster cited a source close to the investigation.
The arrests took place in several districts of Nice. All suspects were put behind bars for 96 hours.
On July 14, truck driver Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel rammed into the crowd which gathered at the Promenade des Anglais in Nice to watch Bastille Day fireworks. As a result 86 people were killed, more than 430 injured with Daesh (outlawed in Russia) taking responsibility for the attack.
