Turkey is a member of the coalition and allows US warplanes to conduct airstrikes from its base in Incirlik.
Separately, Turkey has been undertaking operations against the Islamic State as well as Kurdish fighters in northern Syria as part of Operation Euphrates Shield.
Media reports said the crash was due to a technical fault and rescue teams were dispatched to the airport.
