Iranian Communications Minister Mahmoud Vaezi said that Tehran hopes to sing an agreement on a free trade zone with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in the near future.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Iran hopes to sign a free trade zone deal with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) soon, Iranian Communications Minister Mahmoud Vaezi said Tuesday.

"We hope we will be able in the near future to sign an agreement on a free trade zone with EurAsEC [Eurasian Economic Community, the name for the EAEU's predecessor]," Vaezi told reporters after a meeting of the Russian-Iranian intergovernmental commission.
