President-elect Donald Trump is considering former governor of the US state of Texas Rick Perry as US Secretary of Energy in his administration.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — According to the newspaper Politico, Perry will be likely nominated to oversee the security of the US nuclear weapons, the nuclear deal with Iran, and climate change policy.

Trump is set to meet with Perry in Trump tower in New York this afternoon.
