UK Labour lawmaker Ben Bradshaw said that it was "highly probable" that Russia had interfered in the referendum on United Kingdom's exit from the European Union (Brexit).

Brexit to Be ‘Disaster’ for UK, Ireland – European Parliament Negotiator
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — "Not only their interference, now proven, in the American presidential campaign, [but] probably in our referendum last year. We don’t have the evidence for that yet. But I think it’s highly probable," Bradshaw said as quoted by the Independent newspaper on Tuesday.

US media reported on December 9 that the CIA concluded a "secret" assessment that Russia had allegedly meddled in the November 8 US election. Russian officials have denied any interference, calling the US allegations absurd.

On June 23, the United Kingdom held a referendum to determine whether or not the country should leave the European Union. According to the final results, 51.9 percent of voters, or 17.4 million people, supported Brexit.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly said that the UK officials' claims that Russia was interested in the United Kingdom leaving the European Union are baseless
