Russian law enforcement managed to prevent more that 100 ethnic conflicts in 2016 thanks to a preventive system, Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev said on Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — In his speech, Kolokoltsev also touched upon the topics of passport fraud, increasing migration to Russia, among others.

"Creation of this preventive reaction system allowed law enforcement agencies to prevent more than 100 ethnic conflicts in 2016 alone," Kolokoltsev said while speaking in the Federation Council.
