Kremlin to Not Disclose Content of Talks Between Russia, Japan Security Heads
09:54 GMT 14.12.2016 (Updated: 09:58 GMT 14.12.2016) The meeting between Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev and his Japanese counterpart Shotaro Yachi was held behind close doors, Moscow will not comment on its content, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Kremlin spokesman added that Russia was aware of Japanese commitments to its allies and would keep them in mind while discussing various sensitive issues in the bilateral relations.
"We do not disclose the content of the meetings," Peskov told reporters commenting on the media reports that Yachi said that Tokyo did not rule out the possibility of deployment of US military bases on two disputed South Kuril islands if Japan gained control over them.
