MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Tuesday, Turkish media reported about a phone conversation between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu focusing on the Syrian crisis. On Wednesday, Andrei Kelin, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry's European Cooperation Department, said that Moscow would continue cooperation with Ankara on Syria.

"I do not possess such information," Peskov told reporters, when asked about the possibility of such talks.

Syria's war between government forces and a wide range of insurgents, including terrorists and opposition forces, has raged for more than five years and has claimed hundreds of thousands of lives. The international community, including both Russia and Turkey is exerting efforts to end violence in country.
