MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Tuesday, McFaul said he would like to host his own show on RT, stressing that he would work for free. Simonyan responded by asking former US ambassador for a pilot episode. Earlier on Wednesday, McFaul repeated his demands regarding cooperation with RT in response to Simonyan's proposal for a meeting.
I was clear about working with RT. Ill only do if I have my own show, live and uncensored. (So far no response) https://t.co/6TNBHOOEwI

"I was clear about working with RT. I'll only do if I have my own show, live and uncensored. (So far no response)," McFaul wrote in his Twitter.
Simonyan responded to McFaul on her Twitter page.
. @McFaul Я же предложила сделать пилот. Делайте. Мы ждем. Или вам нужны особые условия?

"I suggested to make a pilot. Do it. We are waiting. Or you need any special conditions?" she said, adding that only professional TV anchors could host a live show without disgracing themselves.
She highlighted that McFaul "just took offensive" because of the criticism toward him, adding that he did a lot "to nurture anti-Russian hysteria."
On December 10, in his column for the Washington Post newspaper, McFaul questioned whether RT and Sputnik should be considered foreign agents or not, given their coverage of the US 2016 election, which, according to McFaul, showed support for Donald Trump.
Simonyan noted that in case the Russian media registered as a foreign agent, the same steps could be made regarding the US media in Russia.
