WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Secret Service and law enforcement are checking the areas near the 17th street, a Wednesday evening Twitter message from the Secret Service stated.
UPDATE: @SecretService & LE activity continues in the area of 17th & D streets. 17th remains closed between Penn and Constitution.

Further details on the vehicle weren’t immediately available, but the area described is just outside the South Lawn of the White House, located on Pennsylvania Avenue in downtown Washington.
The road has been reopened after police investigation, according to local media.
