WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Intelligence officials will brief congressional lawmakers on an analysis of Russia’s alleged interference in the US presidential election, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence said in a press release.
"Once the review is complete in the coming weeks, the Intelligence Community stands ready to brief Congress and will make those findings available to the public consistent with protecting intelligence sources and methods," Friday’s release stated.
The release added that US intelligence leaders have affirmed their contention that only senior Russian government officials could have authorized hacking of political organizations during the election campaign.
