The terrorist attack, which occurred in the Midan neighborhood in Damascus, was carried out by a child wearing a suicide bomber belt, a source in the Syrian capital's police said Friday.

ALEPPO (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, city police said that at least three people were killed and at least five others wounded in a blast on Friday evening in Midan.

"The suicide bomber in the terrorist act in Midan was a child, who was wearing a belt with explosives. According to preliminary data, no one was killed but some were seriously wounded," the source told RIA Novosti.
