"I called on Boris Johnson to join the efforts for the humanitarian aid in Aleppo. Because it's very important, the people need it. And we expect greater help from the United Kingdom," Yakovenko said in an interview with the RT broadcaster.
Yakovenko said that he had informed Johnson about the liberation of Aleppo by the Syrian government forces and Russia's ongoing humanitarian deliveries to the residents of the city.
Aleppo in recent months has become a major battleground, with the city divided into the government-held western part and militant-controlled eastern districts.
Earlier on Friday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that Aleppo is now under full government control with the Syrian army operation to retake the eastern districts completed.
