MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia will hold Army-2017 international military and technical forum on August 22-27 on the venues covering some 370,000 square meters (442,000 square yards), Russian Deputy Defense Minister Pavel Popov said Friday.
"Over 40,000 square meters in exhibition halls, more than 100,000 square meters of outdoor venues of the [Patriot] Congress and Exhibition Center and over 200,000 square meters at the Kubinka airfield will be used to set up an exposition [of the forum on August 22-27]," Popov said at a meeting dedicated to the organization of the forum.
He noted that additional 30,000 square meters would be used for a non-public exhibition.
Army-2017 is an exhibition organized by the Russian Defense Ministry to demonstrate high-tech military innovation and achievements. The event brings together representatives from dozens of countries.
