MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the Daily Sabah newspaper, Yildirim expressed his deep concerns for the humanitarian emergency in Aleppo, as well as for the civilians who are reportedly being attacked during evacuations. The prime minister informed Jahangiri that Turkey was ready to provide aid necessary to improve the situation for civilians, the newspaper continued.
The newspaper also reported that the Iranian vice-president agreed to Yidirim"s proposal, acknowledging that cooperation in this context will benefits both nations. The paper added that the two leaders are set to remain in close contact.
Aleppo has recently become a major battleground for Syrian government forces fighting against militants and extremists in an effort to liberate the city and save civilians thousands of whom have no access to food, water, electricity or medical assistance.
