MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, an explosive-laden car blasted near a military bus, which was carrying soldiers. At least 13 soldiers were reportedly killed, while 55 were injured. Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said that the terror attack was perpetrated by a suicide bomber.
"During the telephone conversation on December 17, Sergey Lavrov expressed condolences to his Turkish counterpart over numerous victims of the terrorist attack, which occurred on Saturday in Kayseri. The sides again stressed the necessity of joint and coordinated fight against international terrorism," the ministry said.
According to the ministry, no Russian nationals were wounded in the explosion.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said earlier in the day that the Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK), outlawed in Turkey, was responsible for the attack.
