"Today a military bus, carrying soldiers, was attacked by a suicide bomber," Yildirim said on local TV.
Earlier in the day, an explosive-laden car blasted near a military bus, which was carrying soldiers. At least 13 soldiers were reportedly killed, while 55 were injured.
Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Veysi Kaynak said that the attack that hit the Turkish city of Kayseri on Saturday was perpetrated in a similar way to the December 10 attack in Istanbul.
On December 10, as a result of two explosions near Vodafone Arena in the central Besiktas district of Istanbul, a total of 44 people were killed including 37 policemen. The authorities accused Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), a separatist group outlawed in Turkey, of perpetrating the attack. Later, a Kurdish radical group Kurdistan Freedom Falcons claimed the responsibility for the attack.
