Saving a dog in Simferopol - Sputnik International
An ordinary Russian man abandoned any concern over his own well-being when he leapt into a freezing pond to save a drowning dog.

Things looked pretty bleak for this poor dog who fell into a freezing pond and found herself unable to pull herself out due to the slippery ice.

Then this man showed up.

Calmly assessing the situation and showing utter disregard to the freezing weather (the temperature was about minus 5 degrees Celsius), he promptly undressed and, after testing the water, leapt to the rescue.

Less than a minute later the man climbed on shore with the hapless dog in his arms as onlookers rushed forward to help them.

The incident reportedly took place in Gagarin Park in the Crimean city of Simferopol.
