MOSCOW (Sputnik) – On Monday, a truck ploughed through a Christmas market in Berlin, killing at least 12 people and injuring 48 others. Germany's Interior Ministry characterized the incident as a terrorist attack.
"At the moment we do not know, who remain in our country, what these people’s background is and what their intentions are. It is necessary to include all migrants and refugees into police databases. We must know, who remains in our country," Pazderski said on Tuesday.
He said that the authorities had made many mistakes ensuring security in Germany, while the AfD had many times drawn attention to the gaps in the country's security.
"This attack on our culture, on our way of living should not urge us to obey terrorists … Because such people want that," he said.
He also expressed a hope that in the near future German political parties would gather together to discuss the current security situation, to make Germany safer and to protect the country from terrorism.
