Russia to Deliver Six MiG-29 Jets to Serbia Next Spring
08:41 GMT 20.12.2016 (Updated: 08:47 GMT 20.12.2016) Russia plans to supply Serbia with six MiG-29 fighter jets next spring as part a military and technical cooperation assistance program, the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) said Tuesday.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Serbian Prime Minister Alksandar Vucic said last week that Belgrade expected the six MiG-29 jets in March 2017.
"The decision has indeed been made. The delivery of the six MiG-29s will take place in March-April next year after the passage of technical regulations, because the aircraft will be transferred from the Defense Ministry's inventory within the framework of military-technical cooperation," FSMTC Deputy Director Anatoly Punchuk told RIA Novosti.
