MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Monday, a truck rammed into the crowd at a Berlin Christmas market on the Breitscheidplatz square, killing 12 people and injuring 48 more. The country's interior ministry has labeled the incident a terrorist attack.
Hackers attacked the bka-hinweisportal.de website, where witnesses of the incident could upload video clips and photographs from the scene of the ramming accident, the German ARD broadcaster said citing own sources.
The website has been attacked on Tuesday for over 2 hours, the media outlet added.
Earlier in the day, German media reported that Berlin police were searching for a Tunisian national, suspected of committing the Christmas market attack, as his documents have been found in the truck.
