WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – US President-elect Donald Trump has no immediate reaction to the White House recent ban on new gas or oil drilling in the Arctic and Atlantic Ocean, Trump transition spokesman Jason Miller told reporters on Wednesday.
"[We] don’t have an immediate reaction," Miller stated when asked if Trump had any comment on the decision.
On Tuesday, President Barack Obama took action to ban oil and gas drilling off the northern shores of Alaska in both the Chukchi and Beaufort Seas, as well as along the US East Cost. In the Atlantic Ocean, new gas or oil drilling is banned in an area stretching from New England to the Chesapeake Bay.
