WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — On Tuesday, the spokesman for the UN humanitarian office UNOCHA said that it was ready to deploy 20 monitors as part of a UN Security Council resolution on east Aleppo.
"I am not aware of any aid still getting in to the people of Aleppo," Kirby stated.
The UN Security Council adopted on Monday a draft resolution on monitoring evacuations in Aleppo after it held extensive consultations the day before.
The resolution in based on the French and Russian proposals regarding best ways to implement and monitor evacuations on the ground.
