MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia will scrap all reciprocal limits on EU imports if the European Union drops economic sanctions against it, despite calls from farmers to keep them in place, President Vladimir Putin said Friday.
"We will gladly repeal them all, although Russian agricultural producers are urging us not to – but only if our partners, including European ones, lift anti-Russia sanctions," Putin said at the annual news conference.
"It’s not our actions that worsened Russian-European relations, particularly Russian-German relations. We did not impose sanctions on European countries, including Germany. What we did was we responded to restrictions imposed on the Russian economy," Putin stressed.
