MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday said he expected the United States to learn from this year's presidential election and take the conclusions into account in the future.
"I hope that after all the election dust settles, the US society, and it is a great country, makes conclusions and will bear this in mind in the next election campaign," the president said during an annual press conference.
Putin also said that the election issue in the United States is archaic and is a problem for the country.
Donald Trump won the presidential elections in the United States on November 8, gaining the majority of the electors of the state, despite conceding the popular vote to Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
