MOSCOW (Sputnik) – It was earlier reported that Interjet was conducting an inspection of Russian Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) aircraft after the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) suspended the exploitation of seven SSJ100 planes.
"After conducting the necessary repair work, Interjet has started to return 11 Superject-100 aircraft into operation," the company said.
The repair work was conducted jointly by Interjet and the Moscow-based Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC).
Interjet expects that by the end of January, all of its 22 SSJ-100 planes will be operating in normal mode.
Earlier in December, an aviation source told RIA Novosti that some issues were discovered in the stabilizers on SSJ-100 planes, which prompted Rosaviatsiya to temporarily put seven of the aircraft out of service.
The SSJ-100 is a regional 100-seat airliner designed and produced by the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC).
