Gay Dance Party Outside VP-Elect Mike Pence's DC House
00:03 GMT 19.01.2017 (Updated: 07:21 GMT 03.05.2020) Activists protesting Vice President-Elect Michael Pence's stance on gay rights organized a massive dance party in front of his Washington, DC house. Hundreds marched to the Friendship Heights district to peacefully send off Pence from his mansion, since on January 20 he'll be moving to the official VP residency at the National Naval Observatory.
Protesters have gathered outside Pence's home just two days before he's is sworn in along with Donald Trump. Pence is known for his harsh stance on gay rights. He has been quoting saying that gay marriages will lead to "societal collapse." He has also has abstained from supporting laws that outlaw discrimination against gay people during his tenure as Governor of Indiana.
