Streets near the White House have been closed as police are responding to the reports about a suspicious package.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Washington, DC police are responding to reports of a suspicious package and have closed streets just blocks away from the White House, the Metropolitan Police said on Thursday.

"Traffic Advisory/Police Investigation/Street Closure on H St between 14th to 15th St NW/," police stated in a Twitter message.
