Russian businessman Viktor Bout's legal team is preparing an appeal to the US Supreme court, according to Bout's attorney Alexey Tarasov.

NEW YORK (Sputnik) — Russian businessman Viktor Bout's legal team will file an appeal for retrial with the US Supreme Court on February 19, Bout's attorney Alexey Tarasov told Sputnik on Friday.

"We are in the middle of preparing an appeal to the US Supreme court at the moment," Tarasov said. "As of now, the date for filing is set for February 19."
