Earlier in the day, Putin and Trump held the first phone conversation after the inauguration of the US president.
"Focus on recovery of Russia-US trade and economic ties is very important. The outcome of the first phone conversation between presidents of Russia and the USA is a positive signal for business and investors proving an opportunity to build cooperation between the two countries including in the investment sphere," Dmitriev said.
He added that the RDIF had created and was going to present a list of 10 priority projects that for cooperation in the investment sphere to the US partners.
"RDIF has developed and is going to present to the US partners a pipeline of more than 10 key projects with potential for investment cooperation between Russia and the United States," the official added.
The relations between Moscow and Washington, including in the sphere of economy, have degraded during the recent years, following the contradictions over the crisis in Ukraine and a number of other issues. After the victory of Trump in the US presidential election, Russian officials have repeatedly welcomed the US politician's statements about the potential thaw in bilateral ties.
