"Most likely, yes," Peskov told reporters during the daily briefing when asked whether Putin would meet Trump ahead of the summit.
According to Peskov, Moscow hopes that the presidents' aides will expediently work on the issue of the personal meeting between Putin and Trump.
"The aides will engage in this issue without procrastination in order to make proposals to the presidents regarding the place and date," Peskov added.
The two leaders held their first official phone conversation on Saturday, during which they discussed the situation in the Middle East and the Arab-Israeli conflict, anti-terror efforts, the sphere of strategic stability and non-proliferation, the Iranian nuclear program, the situation on the Korean peninsula as well as the situation in eastern Ukraine.
