MEXICO CITY (Sputnik) — A total of 568 suspected yellow fever cases were recorded in Brazil, while 107 out were confirmed and 430 cases are being examined, 31 cases of the disease were not confirmed, the ministry said.
According to earlier reports, 42 lethal cases were confirmed on Friday.
They yellow fever outbreak started in Brazil weeks ago in the southeastern state of Minas Gerais, later spreading to other areas.
Yellow fever is a viral disease spread by infected mosquitoes. Infection can be prevented through vaccination.
