Tiny Orphaned Antelope Finds New Family in Chester Zoo
11:00 GMT 10.02.2017 (Updated: 19:29 GMT 19.10.2022) This newborn dik-dik antelope tragically lost its mother not long after being born. But now the miniature animal is in good hands: zookeepers in Chester, England, adopted the calf.
The dik-dik antelope, named Thanos, is tiny indeed. It is just 19 cm (7 inches) tall and is too small to register a weight on the zoo's scales. But Thanos will grow up healthy and strong in no time, as staff members take care of the antelope and feed it five times a day.
