Pet Evacuation During Oroville Dam Spillway Crisis
18:00 GMT 15.02.2017 (Updated: 19:29 GMT 19.10.2022) About 200,000 people were forced to leave their homes due to a spillway's collapse at America's tallest dam. Pets and livestock are being evacuated from the south of Oroville Dam in Northern California, too.
Following the Oroville Dam crisis, numerous shelters and kind-hearted volunteers are taking in evacuated animals, providing temporary haven for them. Approximately 370 homeless animals are being cared for at the shelter.
