The participants are free to submit works on a number of topics, including style, architecture, human touch stories and nature.

A photograph titled "Polar night" was taken by Vitaliy Novikov in the old Pomor village of Teriberka, Murmansk region.

"Best friend," a photograph taken by Olga Tabatskaya, shows a little girl who, according to the author, has been friends with this horse for a year now. The photographer said that this friendship makes the girl very happy.

"Architectural contrasts of Saint Petersburg" by Galina Vishnyakova. The photograph shows the hi-tech building of the Museum of Telephone History closing in on the Smolny Cathedral built in the Russian Elizabethan Baroque style.

"Partridge's flight" by Alexander Romanov. As the photographer explains, for the Northern peoples of Russia, birds symbolize a connection between the world of the living and the world of the dead.

"Contrasts" by Alexey Panteleev. The photograph was taken near Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport.

"Intricate red forest" by Sergey Tsvetkov. The photograph was taken in Rostov region in the fall.

"Uncle Misha" by Dmitry Alexandrov. According to the photographer, this is a portrait of a man who, despite having outlived his family and lost the roof over his head, is grateful to God for what he has.

"Awakening" by Alexandra Azemkina.

"Sweet dreams" by Denis Budkov shows a sea lion sleeping on the cliffs of Cape Kekurny in the Sea of Okhotsk, the Pacific Ocean.
