MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Sewol ferry’s upper side was lifted over 40 feet above the water surface and workers will now try to load the ferry onto the transport vessel by midnight, KSBY TV said on Friday.
It is crucial that the operation is completed before the end of Friday as sea currents in the Jindo Island area are forecast to strengthen on Saturday.
Over 300 people died when the Sewol ferry sank in April 2014. The bodies of 295 people have been recovered, nine are missing.
