Indian PM Modi Condemns St Petersburg Blast

The Indian Prime Minister has condemned the blast in the St Petersburg subway which has killed 10 people and injured 37 others.

New Delhi (Sputnik) — "Deeply saddened by the loss of lives in the blast at St Petersburg metro. Heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims," Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his Twitter message.

​The Indian Consulate in St Petersburg has issued a statement that all Indians are safe and there are no reports of any Indian casualty in the blast. 

“A blast has been reported at Sennaya Ploschad metro station, St Petersburg today. At present there is no report of any Indian casualty.  We are touch with the local authorities. All Indian nationals in St Petersburg are requested to convey their well being to the consulate,” said the statement from the Indian Consulate.
