Car Bomb Explodes Near Airport in Somali Capital of Mogadishu
10:58 GMT 16.04.2017 (Updated: 11:14 GMT 24.11.2022) A car bomb exploded on Sunday near the Aden Adde Airport in Somalia's capital of Mogadishu, media reported.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The car bomb was detonated by armed militants, after they were spotted by security guards, the Xinhua news agency reported. Several people are feared dead as a result of the incident.
The militants reportedly fired three mortar shells that hit residential areas near the airport and a military base of the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM).
