Round One, Fight! Russian Grannies Take On Mortal Combat
17:00 GMT 28.04.2017 (Updated: 19:30 GMT 19.10.2022) Buranovskiye Babushki (Buranovo Grannies), a Russian ethno-pop band consisting of eight elderly women from the village of Buranovo and runner up at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, have performed a cover of the iconic Mortal Kombat theme.
The grannies remarked however that "our Morozko (Russian fairytale character also known as Father Frost) is much stronger than Sub-Zero, and Raiden is no match for Perun, the Slavic god of thunder."
