BANGKOK (Sputnik) — According to the Bangkok Post online newspaper, the incident occurred at 8:30 p.m. local time (13:30 GMT) near Sanam Luang square, injuring two women.
The women were sent to a makeshift hospital tent at Sanam Luang operated by the Thai army, the newspaper reported.
The explosive device has not been identified but, according to pictures, it was a pipe bomb, the Bangkok Post reported.
