Police set up a cordon outside the Manchester Arena in northern England where U.S. singer Ariana Grande had been performing in Manchester - Sputnik International

Following the fatal explosion at the Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena, local police and bomb squads have arrived on the scene.

Manchester police have claimed at least 19 dead and fifty injured. Many of the concert goers were children and teenage girls as Ariana Grande is most popular with those demographics. The explosion occurred at the end of the performance. An estimated 20,000 people were in attendance.

Grande herself was not among those injured, according to a spokeswoman for the 23-year-old singer.
