WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The US House Intelligence Committee issued seven subpoenas on Wednesday in connection with its investigation into Russia’s alleged meddling in the US election, media reported.
The committee issued four subpoenas related to the Russia investigation, and three on the issue of why names of President Donald Trump’s associates were unredacted, or "unmasked," by the Obama administration, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Also, the US House of Representatives Intelligence Committee announced that it had issued two subpoenas, for Michael Flynn and his company as well as for Michael Cohen and his company, as part of its investigation.
"Today the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence approved subpoenas to be issued as part of the ongoing investigation into Russian active measures during the 2016 campaign," the release stated. "The subpoenas were approved for: Lt. General Michael Flynn and Flynn Intel Group LLC, Michael Cohen and Michael D. Cohen & Associates PC."
