BERLIN (Sputnik) — French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel agreed Friday to take climate initiative in their own hands after the US pullout from the 2015 Paris accord, the German government spokesman said.
"Chancellor Merkel and President Macron agreed in a phone conversation that Germany and France will take further initiative to make the climate agreement a success," Steffen Seibert tweeted.
