Agents from the US federal law enforcement organization, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), will assist the investigation into the shooting in Orlando, Florida, the bureau announced on Monday.
"Special agents from ATF Orlando Field Offices are on scene at Orlando shooting incident to assist our partners," the organization said in a Twitter message.

Update: the sheriff revealed that four people were found dead at the scene. One victim died in hospital later.

The reports come just a week from the first anniversary of the Pulse nightclub shooting in the city, in which 49 people were killed, making it the deadliest mass shooting in US history.
