The announcement of the final results of the UK snap general election may be delayed until much later on Friday or even Saturday as the counting of votes was suspended in the constituency of Kensington, an official from the regional council told Sputnik.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, UK media reported that the count of votes in Kensington was temporarily halted because the tellers were too tired.

An official from the regional council confirmed to Sputnik that the counting was stopped and it would resume later on Friday or Saturday.

At the time of suspension, the difference between the Conservatives and the Labour Party was 36 votes in favor of the former.
