Not Guilty: Family of Black Man Killed by Cop Storms Out of Milwaukee Courtroom
20:15 GMT 21.06.2017 (Updated: 11:45 GMT 06.08.2022) The family of Sylville Smith, a black man shot to death by a Milwaukee police officer, angrily marched out of the courtroom after a jury came to a verdict of not guilty for his killer.
The police officer who killed Smith, Dominique Heaggan-Brown — who is also black — was found innocent following two days of deliberations over a first-degree murder charge.
Smith's family, shouting and cursing, were escorted from the courtroom by sheriff's deputies.
