WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer told reporters in a briefing that the two presidential advisers had accepted the invite.
"Sean wanted to clarify that Ivanka and Jared have been invited to China but have not formal accepted," Walters said. "We will have updates for you at the appropriate time."
On Thursday, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson announced US President Donald Trump had accepted an invitation to visit China later this year.
