Syrian President and His Family Visit Injured Veterans
13:00 GMT 28.06.2017 (Updated: 19:30 GMT 19.10.2022) On June 26, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, together with his wife Asma and their children, visited a number of soldiers injured in the Syrian conflict at their homes in the Hama countryside.
The president and his family met veterans who are part of Jarih al-Watan (Injured of the Homeland) program, launched by the Presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic in 2014 to support wounded people and provide for their needs, particularly those who sustained injuries that prevent them from returning to normal life.
